The S. S. Huebner Foundation for Insurance Education was established at the University of Pennsylvania in 1940 by insurance industry leaders and scholars to support promising doctoral students pursuing careers in insurance and risk management education and to promote research addressing important policy and business issues related to risk and insurance. In 2012, the Huebner Foundation moved from the Wharton School to the Department of Risk Management and Insurance at Georgia State University where it continues its mission of supporting Risk and Insurance doctoral education and research.
